World Snow Day в Боровец - 19 January 2013

On January 19th, Saturday, Borovets will celebrate the World Snow Day and will be launching the Learn to Ski Program, which will be held for the fifth year in a row and is organized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science, the Ministry of Physical Education and Sports and Bulgarian Ski Federation. The program is aimed at providing basic ski training to school children from grade 1 to 4 and to introduce them to the magical world of the white sports. The event will be attended by the Mayor of Samokov Mr.Vladimir Georgiev and the Chair of the Municipal Council Mrs.Irena Kotseva.

On this snow celebration day Borokids Snow Park will open its gates for all kids wishing to receive free equipment and lessons. Special guests to Borosport and the Rila hotel will be the children from the Children without Parental Care Centre in Dragalevtsi who will also receive free equipment and first skiing lessons at Borokids.

Free ski and snowboard equipment and lessons will be available not only to the youngest, but also to all ski and snowboard beginners in all ages. They will be provided by Borosport Ski and Snowboard School.  

On the occasion of this World Snow Day, in Borosport ProMo Park a freestyle happening for children will be held with lots of awards and the special participation of the contestants of Boroboard Freestyle Club. Meanwhile Borosport Adventure Center – Borosport’s information centre-  will organize special events for the guests of the resort in all ages, like snow figures carving, snow soccer, snow golf and many other captivating contests.
 
World Snow Day or the World Day of the Snow is an initiative of the International Ski Federation – FIS destined to motivate the children aged 4 to 14 to become familiar and get to love the winter sports and snow recreation. The event is held each year and in 2013 between January 18th and 20th it will be celebrated simultaneously in 39 countries all over the world.

Come and join on January 19th in Borovets and be part of the world snow fun and lets celebrate together this Day of the Rila mountain, winter sports and adventures. The Learn to Ski Program starts in Borovets on Monday – January 21st. Throughout March 31st some 500 children from seven schools in Samokov area will receive their education in Borosport Ski and Snowborad School.   .
