On January 17th 2015 (Saturday) Borovets shall celebrate again the World Snow Day. This shall be the fourth edition of the global snow fest gathering more and more fans each year around the world.

For this special day the price for the daily list passes for children up to 12 years of age shall be just BGN1. The gates of the children snow park Borokids shall be open for the youngest guests of the resort who shall receive free ski/snowboard equipment and lessons. Elder kids shall have the opportunity to make their first steps in snow sports - free lessons for beginners- skier and snowboarders of all ages shall be provided by Ski and Snowboard School Borosport.

The purpose of the World Snow Day is to motivate children aged 4-14 to become familiar and get to love winter sports and snow entertainment. The event is held each year on the initiative of the International Ski Federation - FIS and Borovets is among the ski resorts which have been participating from the very beginning.

This Saturday Borovets freestyle park - Promo Park Borosport shall open their gates in the central area of the resort just across the Rila hotel. For all fans of extreme sensations the team of the Promo Park shall give free freestyle snowboard lessons and the pros shall make demo jumps.

The fest shall begin with a presentation by Borosport Ski Patrol who attend to the security on the slopes of the resort and who will teach to the youngest fans of sports and mountain the basics on adequate and safe conduct on the slopes.

Learn to Ski Program is another initiative to be held with the World Snow Day which has been hosted by the resort for several years now and is aimed at making ski sports popular among Bulgarian kids. It is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Youth and Sports with the cooperation of Bulgarian Ski Federation. It is aimed at introducing the kids from school grades 1st to 4th to the magic of snow sports.
